Chocolate and women. Not to generalise, but there is a connection between the two of them. They say that diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Chocolate seems to be a friend more great. A wonderful poem about Chocolate written by the Dutch poetess Esmée Kruijs.

Esmée publishes her work mostly by photographing her own handwriting. Her Instagram and Facebook profiles are therefore filled with poems in her own handwriting. She writes about things that trouble her, things that make her happy and… chocolate. A poetess who is worth to follow on social media, we do!

The chocolate melting down
On a warm piece of bread
My mind and heart are going to drown
The biggest love they said

The chocolate melting in my mouth
The taste and smell
It’s the best, I can tell
The biggest love of the women

Chocolate makes me happy
Don’t want to share it
It’s all for me
Don’t even share a little bit
