Covetous

Covetous

This poem is an exemplification of those who carve a part of them onto canvases and paper for the world to notice. This for those who dare to dream beyond societal norms and the hegemony attached with them.

About the poet

I am an ardent student of literature and poetry. I have authored four books. An enthusiast of foreign policies and House of Cards which in today’s scenario is pretty much the same.

You can follow me on Instagram, where I use Mortal Parable.

About the poem

This poem speaks of the hypocrisy that society tends to reel off.

Covetous

By Sreemay

Covetous

Harbinger of
Misery and gloom,
Notorious assasin
of heartbreak and doom.
Catastrophically breaking
every dream,
It’s very presence will
make you scream.
Unwilling to live
unable to die,
Shrinking and shriveled,
Doubt is nothing but a lie.
