Roses tinted

Roses tinted

The Girl with Words wrote the poem Roses tinted. It tells us that each of us is different and she realises that not everyone is like her. It’s her way to tell herself that this is OK.

About the poem

We often have the habit of assuming that people are as good as we are. But the reality is that each one of us is different. Our rights and wrongs differ, so do our beliefs. The poem reflects the disappointment I faced when I realized that, not everyone is like me. It’s more like a poem to make myself understand that it’s okay.

Roses tinted

I see the world
through rose
tinted glasses;

Maybe that’s why
the color of
catches me off
