Sailing the Moon

For her poem Sailing the Moon, Shama found her inspiration in the sky at night.

About Sailing the Moon

Shama had the following to say about her poem:

Well basically i saw the crescent in the sky and fell in love with it😍 and well it looked like a boat and I was feeling a bit romantic yet sad so I wrote it for a certain someone.

That ‘certain someone’ should consider themself very lucky. This beautiful poem is such a good example of love poetry. One cannot help thinking of the work of Christina Rossetti.

I shall sail this boat,
away on starry skies. I
shall wait for you, until
midnight. Take my hand
if you may, but don’t ask
me stay
