The broken spectacle

Dealing with the loss of a loved one, isn’t always easy. It is not easy, losing your father. It inspired the poet who uses the pen name Wealthy Progression, to write the poem "The broken spectacle."

About this poem

The sense of loss, was the motivation to write this poem. The father of this poet died a long time ago. At that time, he wasn’t really close to his father. Still, he feels that he has to say a lot about what has happened. It inspired him to write the poem the broken spectacle. This poem was first published on Instagram.

The poem is not only for the poet. It is a poem for all of those, who lost their father. As for this poet:

“I’m saddened yet I’m happy I’ve got no other choice than to be happy.”

A good option to consider. It was also a good option, to pen down his emotions. This led to a genuine and intense poem, that we are more than happy to share on our website and the social media channels we use.

The broken spectacle

The broken spectacle

Pop man,
Everyone knows you’re nowhere to be found,
But I know you’re somewhere,
Six-feet underground.
So bad,
For there was no one to guide me since you left,
I couldn’t differentiate between the good and the bad,
But no qualms for I’d learn with time.

I’m incomplete!!
I feel so sad when I hear others say:
“Dad, I need more cash for the trip”
But no blames for your unfinished contract,
Because I know that one day death will die too.

Now that I’ve remembered you,
I hope that angels will pass this across,
Always remember that I was produced by you,
Come to my rescue when I’m about to fall.

It’s been so long man, without you,
I hope to hear from you soon,
Stay right there and watch me bloom!!
Don’t be joyful yet for I’m not coming soon.
