About the poetess

Eshe lives in Birmingham (UK) and is 21 years old. She doesn’t remember when she started writing. She started using the pen name Married to the Ink about one year ago. In August 2016, she published her book Blue Raptures.

She isn’t very different when it comes to the motivation to write than any other poet. She considers it to be her way to deal with the pain she encountered in life. Her determination to put her thoughts into words differs from others though. She believes that her words would otherwise go to waste. Luckily for us and for you, she decided to publish them. This meant she would show vulnerability. Or rather: those emotions coming the closest to showing vulnerability.

You can find her work on her own website and Instagram. This is how we found out about this poetess.

About the poem

Eshe calls this a micro poem and she gave it the title Well.. Are you” This is an extract of a larger poem, For Me. Even this extract is beautiful. If you have the time, read the full version on her website.

The micro poem tells us about the idea of being desperately in love. This causes insecurities and there is always this question, asked by many, whether the love is mutual.

Even when this poem is the short version of For me, this is still a strong message from this wordsmith. These questions aren’t rare or obscure. These questions are justified to find out the other one would go the same path.

Well... are you?

Well… Are You?

You love life
but do you love it for me
do you love me for me?

drove you to the edge
are you falling for me?
